Press/Media enquiries

We would really welcome enquiries from the press and media - the people, the places and the food that 'are' The Seafood Trail are guaranteed to provide fascinating copy. Did you know for instance that one of the member hotels (Dunvalanree) sits at the end of Paul McArtney's The long and winding Road that featured on the "let it Be' album. Another of our members (The Creggans Inn) used to be a policeman and his lifestyle change has taken him from The Beat to the Beaten Track. We've got a musician  (Inver Cottage) who has appeared on Jools Holland. And one of the hotels (The Creggans) was owned by Fitzroy MacLean -  the spitfire pilot who provided the inspiration for the James Bond Character.

And that's not all. All of the Seafood Trail members are characters who have made life - changing moves into the hospitality industry in order to build a better quality of life for themselves and their children. They're all close to their suppliers and therefore experts on the local seafood and shellfish that is landed on their doorstep. So please do get in touch if you have a feature or story in mind. We can also provide spokespersons on the fishing industry in Scotland in general.

In the first instance, please contact Alan Milstead of the Seafood Trail. Carole Fitzgerald, The Founder and author of From Crab Shack to Oyster Bar recently toured The Seafood Trail in a lime green 30 year old VW Camper Van called Archie and enjoyed wonderful shellfish, excellent wines and wonderful puddings.
